How to record your calls
Once you’ve registered, you can record any outgoing call you make. Here’s how:
- Dial 0871 990 4004. Once connected you'll be asked to enter your six digit account number, followed by the FULL phone number you wish to connect to, including the local code beginning 01, 02 etc.
- Important: you’ll need to dial the FULL number including the local code even if you’re calling locally.
- So, for example, to record a call to a London number, simply dial 0871 990 4004, followed by your account number, then the FULL number beginning with 0207 or 0208 for example.
- To end your call: simply hang up in the usual manner. Your call will have been recorded.
To record another call, just redial 0871 990 4004.
How to listen to your recorded calls
Once you’ve finished recording your calls, just click the Sign In To Your Account button on this page where you can listen to your recordings online, and download them as mp3 files to your computer.
Just 10p a minute—no other call costs to pay
Calling 0871 990 4004 to record your outgoing calls costs just 10p per min from a BT landline, to any destination. Calls from other networks and from mobiles may vary. There is no other call cost to pay, just the flat rate 10p per minute. This cost will appear on your regular bill in the normal way, with the number dialled shown as 0871 990 4004 rather than the ultimate destination number you spoke to.
